GET READY TO CELEBRATE ST. PATRICK’S DAY ALL WEEKEND
JohnMartin’s Restaurant & Irish Pub Hosts Annual Celebration March 14-17

Wear your favorite green and call upon the luck of the Irish, as the largest St. Patrick's Day celebration returns to South Florida with weekend long festivities.

This year, JohnMartin's Restaurant and Irish Pub will celebrate its 18th annual "St. Patty's Day" with an Irish Weekend showcasing live bands, Friday and Saturday night, an Open Mike Night Sunday night, culminating in the big celebration on Monday, March 17th from 4 p.m. to midnight.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday: Indoor Festivities
Monday: Outdoor Festival

Beginning Friday March 14, JohnMartin's will feature live rock music at 8 o'clock, sponsored by Guinness. Saturday the festivities will continue with live music provided by Avalon at 8 o'clock sponsored by Diageo. On Sunday at 8 o'clock, the fun will continue with "Open Mike Night" that will have contests and give prizes for best "Original Irish Song," "Best Limerick" and "Best Singing" of, you guessed it, Irish music. Prizes include an American Express Gift card and gift certificates to JohnMartin's Restaurant.

On St. Patrick's Day, Monday, March 17th, JohnMartin's will entertain crowds with its annual street fair beginning at 4 p.m. with live music, authentic Irish food and drinks until midnight along Salzedo Street and Aragon Avenue, in Coral Gables. The event is free and open to the public.

"Paddy Kelligan" will perform outside from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m, along Aragon and Salzado. At 8 p.m. "Hard Liquor Band" will take center stage until Midnight. While singing and dancing outside, party-goers can enjoy fish and chips, chicken tenders, corn beef sandwiches, burgers, hotdogs and Irish beverages. Inside the restaurant, guests can enjoy drink specials and a traditional St. Patrick's Day menu with smoked salmon, Gaelic steak, Irish stuffed chicken, corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie, fish and chips, bangers and mash, Irish potato soup, bread and butter pudding and homemade Bailey's ice cream for dessert.

"Celebrating St. Patrick's Day is something that goes beyond our typical, traditional festivities. It's the Irish way of life to sing and dance with our friends, family and community," said Martin Lynch, proprietor of JohnMartin's. "This annual party provides an opportunity for people of all ages to gather and celebrate this great tradition."

JohnMartin's will donate a portion of the proceeds to benefit the May Van Sickle Children's Dental Clinic that offers dental services to children in need.

JohnMartin's has been continually recognized for its cuisine by publications that voted the restaurant Best Pub Food. While the restaurant naturally includes some typical Irish dishes, their selection of entrees is extensive, ranging from typical American to Continental. The restaurant features live entertainment every Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, from Contemporary Top 40 hits to rock to today's popular Irish ballads.

One of the most popular programs is Sunday night's Acoustic Music Showcase hosted by local musician, John Brown. Patrons are invited to play music and sing from 7:30 – 10 p.m. JohnMartin's is located at 253 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables.
